What’s New with Docuflo DMS version 7.0 – Thumbnail Image View

Image thumbnail viewing is a new feature now available on DMS V7!

Image 1 - Listing view

Add thumbnail view

  • Add the view thumbnail from the menu
  • Set the thumbnail as a default view
  • If it’s on Thumbnail view, it will look like the image below (Image 2 – Thumbnail view)
    • Representation in the form of an image with a larger size
    •  Information in the form of:
      • File name
      • The top 2 metadata from the index
    • View icon would be changed to “listing view” icon.

    • Add an icon with the same function as the standard function:
      • “More” icon
      • “Workflow” icon
      • “Favorite” icon
      • “Attachment” icon
      • “Check-in / check-out” icon
      • “Comment” icon
  • Thumbnail view applies to all file types (e.g : .pdf, .doc, .xls, .ppt, .mp4, .txt, .dat, .tiff, .png, .jpg, .jpeg, etc.)

  • On listing view, the view will be as displayed on (Image 1 – Listing view)
    • Item lists are in the form of a scrolling vertical list.
    • Information in the form of
      • File name
      • The top 2 metadata from the index
    • View icon will be changed to “Thumbnail view” icon.

2.2. Adding the Resize function in the Action List

  • Add the “Resize” function to the “Action” menu.
  • The “Resize” function is to resize the image.
  • Steps to do “Resize”:
    1. Select the “Resize” function (Image 3: “Resize” function on the Action menu).
    2. Select the file to be resized (Image 4 : Tick files before resizing).
      • Can only select photo files (e.g : .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .tiff, .tif ).
      • Disable for document and video files (e.g: .doc, .xls, .ppt, .pdf, .mp4).
    3.  Make the desired size change (Image 5: Display Resize)

  •  Enable “Tick” to select an image.      
  • To display the Thumbnail view, then the tick button is in the middle of the image·        
  • To display the Listing view, then the tick button is on the left side of the list.         
  • Can only select photo files (e.g : .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .tiff, .tif ). 
  • Disable for document and video files (e.g: .doc, .xls, .ppt, .pdf, .mp4

  • If  you’ve “Tick” and it’s blank, then an error prompt will appead “image has not been selected”

  • Other option would be to open the Resize page (Image 5: Resize View)

To change the dpi size of the image to make it smaller than its original size, with the following options:        

  • 100 dpi
  • 200 dpi

  • 1000 x 1000
  • 1080 x 1080
  • 1080 x 1920
  • 1920 x 1080
  • 600 x 1067

Storage location for the final resizing result:

  • Download to Local Drive
  • Export to the specified server path

Tick Box

IF “Tick” = Yes, it will download the file along with the index file


Else it will download only the files

  • If successful: “Resizing process Successful” 
  • If it fails: “Resizing process Failed”

2.3 Thumbnail View after searching the file

Below is the Thumbnail view when using the searching function

  • The only difference is the Thumbnail view or Listing view.
  • In terms of the search function there is no change (Default search function)
